Every tool goes through the same process: a trial account, hands-on testing of core features, the actual setup experience, a check of what support looks like when something breaks, and pricing cross-checked directly against what the vendor charges today — not a screenshot from two years ago.

Do vendors pay to be listed or to get a higher score?

Some vendors pay for featured placement at the top of category pages, and those positions are clearly labeled 'Sponsored.' Payment never changes a tool's score — a sponsored tool that doesn't deserve its position won't stay there.

How often are these reviews updated?

Vendor profile reviews are refreshed quarterly or whenever a vendor changes pricing. Category, comparison, and best-of pages are updated roughly every six months, or sooner if the market shifts.

What do the star ratings on each review mean?

Each score is our own editorial assessment, not an average pulled from third-party review sites, and covers channel coverage, ease of setup, automation, reporting, pricing, and support responsiveness.
